MERCADO GUAYABAS plays a key role in strengthening food security by creating jobs for farmers and local businesses, activating the economy, serving as a community gathering space, and providing consistent access to fresh, high-quality products.

Mercado Guayabas Inc. operates agricultural and artisan markets across Puerto Rico. Through these markets, we aspire to cultivate a thriving and informed population that values and supports local food systems and its own health.

Every donation we receive helps cover the market’s operational costs, keep vendor fees accessible—many of whom are farmers and emerging entrepreneurs—and strengthen our grant program to support their growth during 2026–2027.
